At Festoon, we believe flowers are more than just decorations—they’re storytellers.
The way different blooms and textures come together should feel intentional, almost as if they were gathered from a place rich with meaning.
Each stem, each petal, each detail weaves into a design that is completely unique—capturing not only beauty and the story of where it was gathered, but also reflecting the wonder of God’s creation and the presence of Jesus in every masterpiece.
noun: a chain or garland of flowers, leaves or ribbons hung in a curve between two points as a decoration.
verb: to adorn a place with garland or ribbons.
In my search of a name for this floral studio, I wanted to find one word that explained exactly who we are and what we love to do. One day I stumbled upon the word “Festoon” in the book of Psalms. I loved the context of it in this verse and when I looked up the definition I knew this was it! I love that it is both a noun and verb: it’s not just the flower or the flower garland, it’s the art of designing and placing it.
Ever since I was little, I’ve been in awe of the beauty of creation around me. I’ve always been drawn to beautiful spaces and places, and I feel God’s presence most clearly when surrounded by His masterpieces in nature. It’s one of the reasons I love Charleston so deeply—everywhere you look, there’s beauty.
From a young age, I was captivated by gardens and the way flowers can completely transform a space. That early love of nature grew into a passion for floral design—a craft that allows me to weave together blooms, textures, and colors to create something truly unique. To me, flowers are never just an accessory; they’re the final sentence in a design story, pulling everything together with grace and meaning.
What began as a creative pursuit in college quickly became a lifelong calling. Over the years, my journey has taken me to different places, but Charleston has always felt like home. When the opportunity came for our family to return, Festoon was born in 2020—a floral studio rooted in Southern charm, garden-inspired design, and a commitment to excellence.
At Festoon, we hold ourselves to the highest standards: providing superior quality, exceeding expectations, and delivering both creativity and value. Clients often describe our work as elevated, artistic, and timeless—yet always deeply personal. Beyond design, I love helping clients see their visions come to life and celebrating their stories through flowers, bringing warmth, honesty, and care to every interaction.
Laurel has been part of Festoon for several years, serving as our Lead Designer and head bouquet artist—making her the longest-standing member of our team.
After earning her degree in Child and Family Studies with a minor in Hospitality from Florida State University, she quickly discovered her love for the wedding industry and brought her talents to Charleston in 2020. Laurel has a special gift for translating a bride’s vision and personality into everything from intimate bouquets to large-scale installations.
Outside the studio, she enjoys morning runs downtown, beach walks with friends, and meaningful time spent with the people she loves most.

Kait serves Festoon as our Lead Designer, Shop Manager, and resident social media guru.
In addition to her design work, she oversees weekly preparations and much of the behind-the-scenes floral magic that keeps our studio running seamlessly. A graduate of Clemson University with a degree in Religious Studies and a minor in Art, Kait always knew her creative path would lead her to floral design. Inspired early on by shows like Say Yes to the Dress and films like 27 Dresses, she felt drawn to the wedding industry from the start.
Outside of the studio, you’ll often find her walking through Hampton Park with her dog, Charlie, or surfing the waves at Folly. Dedicated to excellence in every detail, Kait ensures that each bloom leaving our doors reflects the artistry and care that define Festoon.
Hannah is a Charleston native and one of Festoon’s lead designers. When she’s not crafting stunning floral designs, you can usually find her out on the water in Mount Pleasant.
In the summer of 2024, she completed classical training in New York City, expanding her skills and refining her style to make Festoon’s designs as exceptional and versatile as possible.
Hannah brings unmatched organization to our team, managing every detail in the shop—from counting candles and votives to ensuring every element is perfect for each wedding day.
Quick-witted, fun, and quietly confident, she is essential to the smooth operation of our studio and the flawless execution of every event.
We’re so grateful for the hard work and joy Hannah brings to every celebration!
